Crocus

About the Crocus

Crocus belongs to the family of the Iridaceae and comes in many different colours. Most Crocus species originated from the Balkan or Asia, although a few species are native to Central Europe.

Care advice

Indoors, place the Crocus in the coolest possible spot, and water regularly. As this bulb is fairly hardy (a few degrees of frost is not a problem) it is a very suitable plant to set on the balcony or terrace in early spring.

The flower will last at least three times longer if it is permitted to grow outdoors. After it has flowered, plant the pot ball in open ground or in the lawn, and the Crocus will flower there abundantly year after year.
