About the Eucomis
Eucomis originates from South Africa. As its striking flowering form resembles a pineapple fruit, it is also known as the pineapple lily.
Care advice
Eucomis grows best in full sunlight during summer, in moist soil. During the winter the soil should be able to dry out sufficiently, so a good permeability during the winter rest is important if you planted the pots out in the garden. Optionally provide winter cover in the form of leaves or straw. If you choose to keep the Eucomis in pots, then keep them in a dry and frost-free place. It will start to grow again in spring.
