Hyacinth

About the hyacinth

The Hyacinth belongs to the family of the Liliaceae and comes in a wide variety of colours. The plant is originally native to the Russian steppe.

Care advice

The Hyacinth is suitable either as an indoor plant, or outdoors on the terrace or balcony in spring. Place the Hyacinth in a light, warm spot (not near a heater) and water once every 3 or 4 days. (Take care: too much water will produce long and weak plants).

If the temperature will not drop lower than -1 degree, then the pots can be moved outside. If the Hyacinth, after flowering, is transferred to open ground where it can slowly die away, it will grow again as a garden plant next spring.
