About the Lachenalia
Lachenalia originally hails from South Africa. This bulbous plant has been improved significantly through breeding and cross-breeding. Lachenalia comes in very many shades of colour, particularly in shades of blue, yellow and red.
Care advice
The plant can be kept both indoors and in the garden, on the balcony or the terrace, but it is not frost-hardy. Water regularly and place in a bright spot.
For the plant to flower again next year, it needs to be kept in a frost-free place over winter. Do not water the plant during this period! Once the plant begins to grow again, it can be placed in the garden or living room. The plant blooms for around three weeks.
